How does this differ from Semen Assessment and Andrology?

Assessment tells you what a sample is worth. Processing takes that sample the rest of the way, through extension, straw filling, sealing and freezing, to a product that survives the thaw.

Is the course entirely laboratory based?

Yes. All five days run in the laboratory across the full processing pipeline, from raw ejaculate evaluation through to post-thaw quality control.

Do I need my own cryogenic equipment?

No. You work with our equipment throughout, including safe handling of liquid nitrogen, so you can learn the protocols before investing in a setup of your own.

What do I receive at the end?

A Statement of Attainment for Semen Processing and Freezing, and the ability to process raw semen into frozen straws that meet commercial quality benchmarks.

Yes, lunch is provided on each day of the course. We ask for your dietary requirements when you enrol so we can cater for them.
